MAME 0.219 ROMs sooner (arcade + mess)

I will update the following folder for the updates  (from official 0.218 to the next official release 0.219):

Note: Remember that this update folder does not contain complete sets! "Full MAME 0.218" + "update" -> rebuild -> "Full MAME 0.218rXXX"

Would be very nice if you posted a fixdat with the request, now I had to look through the Mame 0.219 source to see which roms are in the gunsense set.

Always scan the backup folder of your rom manager after an update; those roms were in the hod2bios romset in Mame 0.218.

i never uploaded a fix dat before so hopefully i've attached right file, all i know is i'm missing ( gunsense ) rom thank you

I fixed it sorry rookie error as i was doing a new scan everytime it was coming up missing & yes the files was in the hod2bios I just checked but please let me know if that fix it dat was right so i know what to upload if ever i need some help again. thank you

Stange happening with Mame scan on CRLMAME. shows me 0 missing in fixdat file but one missing (KONENDEV rom).

Anyone have this ? can(t produce a fixdat unfortunately...

forget it, found it in another Set from Russia...

 He already said he found the rom after I explained to also look in the backup folder when doing an update...it's not a rename, it was part of another set...

 That rom is in whiterus.zip in your backup folder... It has been in Mame for years.

I had the same problem with gunsense. however my ClrMamePro does not make backups (but it's activated in the options) so i had to download it from the full set.

Does anybody know why ClrMamePro don't make a backup? Must i create a folder in the backup directory or does the program create it normaly?

Also i miss 4 sample sets that i can't find anywhere: allied, gp_110, gts1 and gts1s

 Check your cmpro.ini with eg notepad. Near the top it should say:

Settings_MakeBackups = on
Settings_BackupFolder = path to backup folder

Those samples aren't in Mame, can you post a fixdat?

the setting is ok. maybe it is since i deleted the subfolder Mame to clean up and now it does not creat it atomatic again, will check this.

why does ClrmamePro show them (they are missing longer, not since 0219...i have ignored it so far ;))? the Source is the mame64.exe

Those samples are combined in genpin, you can find that sample set on the BDA or on Progetto Snaps.

many thanks for the help! Do you know why my ClrmamePro needed this files (as i said i create the dat from the official mame64.exe)? seems that i am the only one...and mame seems not longer use samples.

I made a directory called "MAME" but no deleted files go there. Maybe its a Problem that i made an Upgrade from windows 7 ultimate to windows 10 pro? Seems that i have that problem since then. A start as administrator also doese not help. If i deactivate the backup option i get a waring, i reactivate it but it still does not work. strange. On windows 7 it worked.

I use Clrmamepro 4.036a and don't have that sample problem, is your Clrmamepro up-to-date?

I use the dat from Mamedev, but it should be the same as the one you create with the exe:

If your backup folder is in the folder Windows, Program Files or some other protected folder then you probably don't have the right to write there in Windows 10.

i also use 4.036a and its on an seperate Partition on HD only für emulators. i have no idea. tomorrow i will test it with a new directory for ClrMamePro, maybe that will help.

ClrMAME tells me I'm missing a couple of individual ROMs in isbc8010.zip (basic_blc_1.a24, basic_blc_2.a25, basic_blc_3.a26, basic_blc_4.a27 and sbc80p.a24) but everywhere I'm looking I'm only able to find a isbc8010 file containing a single ROM file 6300__d7.p7). There was nothing in the backup folder either.

What's going on with this ROM?

Not sure where you're looking, but isbc8010 has the other roms since Mame 0.175.

The BDA has the updated isbc8010 file containing all the roms; it was uploaded 2 days ago.

Since you're already using Clrmamepro, it's easier to post a fixdat when you're missing something.

I just downloaded that file, using QuickView (mecanims to quickly view the contents of a file in the Finder without opening the file in an app) on macOS showed me again only 1 file:

Then I finally decided to decompress the file, and lo and behold, all the individual ROMs are there. I never bothered to check more closely. So it seems to be a new bug in macOS Catalina as I never encountered that behaviour before.

Can someone validate that Mario Bros. / mario.zip runs fine on your 0.219 MAME?  Mine is running half speed even though earlier version runs fine.  Thanks.

 The first romset in your new fixdat is https://bda.retroroms.info:82/downloads/mame/currentroms/rf2.zip

The other ones are also there.

the currentroms folder is for MAME 0.219. Are you searching for something different Bladeforce?

- if yes: create a new thread

- if no: what is missing in this folder?

and if you don't want to browser for the rom use a direkt link as Noone has posted it like https://bda.retroroms.info:82/downloads/mame/currentroms/romname.zip

or hope that someone is doing a complete fix-dat download package for you ;-)
