 Yes, I have. These particular ROMs are not in BDA as far as I can tell unless they are somewhere outside of the FBNeo folder structure.

Could be, but I don't see these in BDA. I pulled these from this DAT file, yesterday:

Thanks, Lodan. Skimming this DAT that you provided, it appears to contain the files that I noted that I am missing. If I'm wrong about these being in BDA, I apologize, but I've pulled down all the relevant-looking files that I can find to no avail - can someone point me to them?

Interestingly, compared to the libretro DAT that I pulled down yesterday, Lodan's DAT additionally has the following machines:

Lodan - may I ask where you obtained these DATs? I'm still learning, so I'm sorry if this is a noob question. I was under the impression that pulling them from the libretro github repo that I linked above was the best place.

Libretro port it's usually sync with the official upstream code, but sometimes happen to be a few days outdated.

To generate the upstream dats you need to compile FinalBurn Neo (Mucci's script: https://mega.nz/folder/OY0zTDxS#AVybq4bmBdhjw_ewIQ25Pw ), or you can download the compiled version through the build bot ( https://ci.appveyor.com/project/tmaul/fbneo-kbhgd/branch/master )

Then execute and generate the dats:

No, your previous missing have a different (older) crc than the up-to-date roms in the BDA.

That's why I said that your missing roms were from an older version.

I appreciate your patience and explanation; I saw your original message about it being from an older version, but I wasn't following what you meant until I saw both your reply and the one from Lodan.

I think that archive it's usually updated monthly, but FBNeo it's updated almost daily, so you need to rebuild the romset each time more games are supported or tweaked.

7z archives are superior to zip, all the emulators support it already.

 Indeed, 7z have better compression ratio that results in saving storage space, but the downsides are that 7z files take more time to load, extract, rebuild.

Personally I use zip over 7zip because I value time more than free storage.

The only advantage of 7z is that it saves storage space.
