Another file I'm missing is id8751h_japan.mcu (4KB / CRC 4ac2ca9d ) which is possibly a video IC .... needed for Super Real Darwin (Japan)

@mcbpete, both roms you 'miss' are in the BDA and in the 0.188 update folder on Mega.

TBH, the chances cchip_upd78c11.bin was in cchip.zip and the rom from Super Real Darwin (Japan) was in srdarwinj.zip were pretty high.

All information for MAME is in the XML-file. Create it yourself (mame64.exe -listxml >list.xml) or download it from MAMEdev.

@Mucci : I'm using MameUi64 0.188.A (2017-08-03), the current stable release.

MAMui 0.188a is a newer build than the offical MAME 0.188. It contains already added stuff that can be found in the "update" folder.

Keep in mind that in this update folder are only added roms/sets: means you must rebuild it yourself with the "full" and the "update" folder to have a complete set.

Using a Rom-manager like CLRMAMEPro helps -> I have described how to use it in my guide @mameguide.info

Are you sure those roms are for the official Mame 0.188? Because none of the names are correct.

Thanks for the fix files. i've just run a new scan from the mame downloaded on the official site and it's trying to remove all the "unneeded" files that are in your rom upload. Could there be a bug in clrmame?

Like I said, none of those names are in the official Mame 0.188, so of course they will be marked as unneeded.
How did you create your fixdat? Which Mame version did you use before?

To create the fix dat i just right clicked the message window after scan and selected save fix dat. This is a completely new scan after downloading 0.188

Then you didn't use the correct Mame version before.

Looks like you're missing the CHDs of those sets.
Idk where you got that first fixdat from.

I dont collect the chd's. The scan doesn't have chd's checked to scan

If you deselect CHDs from the scan then you get that result.

You could use a datfile that is for ROMs only when you don't collect CHDs.
