MAME v0.207 - Archives

A continuation of the project I started many years ago and update with each new release.

It's basically a 60gb+ collection of MAME/MESS/UME Emulators and DATs... NO ROMs.

Are these made from a more recent source? Because the xml/dats contain info about newer roms for Mame 0.208.

Which DATs in particular are you referring to?

If you are referring to the Arcade/Console/Full DATs then they were indeed made early before mamedev updated their downloads page with all their builds and the compressed source files... it was late and I was ready to head off to bed when I saw that github was just updated to reflect v0.207, so I pulled them right there and then... which would be r64463 ... I have not updated since so here is a screenshot as well from what I pulled that is still sitting on my drive ...  https://i.imgur.com/rcKS3G9.png

So... hmmm...that's obviously not a good thing... as from what I saw at the time to what was listed on github as the very final / first release of v0.207 is essentially already an updated source. Interesting to know, I won't make the same assumption in the future going forwards.

Thanks,

Mords

Yes, I am referring to the Arcade/Console/Full DATs.

Usually the official build is made from the code of the Sunday before the release.

Thanks for that link... (bookmarked)

I will recreate all files needed from their official packaged source and include them in the v0.208 update (to overwrite the current ones) when that is released, unless of course I hear interest from many people to update them right away. But I doubt that would happen with this type of collection... LOL

Thanks,
