I have loved video games since the early 80's before I could even afford anything. My first memory is playing on the Wooden Atari system , then the TV black + white pong system , also the CBS Colecovision, the Vectrex , then onto the cassette systems - ZX Spectrum , Amstrad CPC (the first I owned in the early 90's + still have it with the box !!) the Vic 20 , the Commodore 64 + 128. The Atari ST + Amiga Era ,Then of course the Sega Master System, Mario and the NES , the Megadrive and the wonderful Snes - Hold on I remember the old BBC computers we used in British schools and I have a faint memory of playing on a computer called a Dragon . . . . . The handheld systems - Gameboy, Game Gear , later the Pocket Neo - back to the console Ive always been fascinated with the obscure consoles too - the PC Engine , The Neo Geo cartridge + CD systems - the Turbo Grafics (i think that's how it's spelt) - the Bandai Wonderswan , the horrible Philips CD thing , the Panasonic 3DO , all the dodgy Sega Add -ons , the 32X , the Mega CD , the dodgy nintendo VR virtual Boy, then the Sega Saturn - the amazing underrated Dreamcast , my greatest love has always been the Coin operated arcade games , sacrificing school lunch to save that ten pence for the Daily Evening Double Dragon after-school tournament ! - the R-type , the Street fighter , the space harrier, the gauntlet ! - Love it all - love it now . . . . respect it even more now.
Not even going to mention the XBOX or eve, the playstation 1,2,3+4 , the 360 , Jaguar ; ( , or even the PSP, Vita and Ngear.
I am a massive fan and would love to be a part of the retro ooms community . . . thanks in advance
