THis is the only one that I tested that didn't work for me as replacement bios for pcem.

Tested it using a 486 ami winbios as base with both the s3 and the diamond stealth 3d 2000

but they are all not designed for the diamond stealth 3d 2000.

the stealth 3d 2000 is a 86c325 card
the bios files are for 86c375 / 86c385 cards

the monochrome bug occurs only with socket 5 all cpus and socket 7 cpus above 120 mhz)

but since the bios files are not designed for the diamond stealth 3d 2000
i would stick to the old 1.02 bios until smb dump a newer diamond bios.

btw: the guy with the 2.14 bios diamond card said he no longer owns it

i took a closer look into the v15 rom set....

there are some files wich are unnecessary
for e.g there is a unnecessary s3virge folder with a 86c375_5.bin file
(its an older bios for the s3 virge dx v2.01.07) but its not used by pcem

the normal bios is v.2.01.13
(on some rom pages you can find v2.01.16)

and in other board folders also contain unnecessary files.

may be it would be a good idea to create a complete new rom set from scratch
but this time with documentation for e.g. which version numbers the files are.

 That's not a bad idea. I've noticed the same thing, with some folders being unnecessary and/or duplicated. I could put together a fixed set based on the one I currently have, if you'd be interested in that.

to test bios version numbers i use hwinfo 5.55 and dr.hard 10.0 for dos.
test all machines and gfx cards will take some time

I'll wait for your set before I do any more tests. 

i made 3 changes so far:

1: i removed s3 virge folder (with outdated and unused s3 virge dx bios v2.01.07 86c375_5.bin)
2. i replaced s3virge dx bios "86c375_1.bin" v2.01.13 with v2.01.16 from http://chukaev.ru54.com/video_en.htm  86c375_4.zip
3. i replaced diamond steath 3d 2000 alternative generic bios "s3virge.bin.other" (v.100-05 had mono chrome bug on fast pentiums)
with v1.00-10 (no monochome bug) also from the link above 86c325.zip.
the file is not used, cause i use the org diamond bios 1.02.

i am not sure if diamond 1.02 bios or generic 1.00-10 bios is newer
but i guess its better to use org diamond bios.


for the Tseng ET4000AX card are also 2 bios files in the romset
et4000.bin (v 8.01 4/7/93) and et4000.bin.other (v ?? 4/15/92)
the other rom has the l letter bug. may be the rom can be removed.

in some board folders for e.g. 430vx are not only the bios files but also the org bios update files from the homepage.
these files are no longer needed after the bios has been flashed. guess they can be deleted as well.

so that only necessary bios files from pcems readme.txt stays there.

i guess when the rom set is complete
alternate and generic bios files should be stored in another folder if ppl want to exchange current bios for whatever reasons.

I apologize for the long delay, but here it is! My new ROM set! I tried my best to follow the readme as closely as I could and I avoided including unnecessary files. Let me know if there are any issues! Enjoy!
