I will update the following folder for the updates (from official 0.225 to the next official release 0.226):
https://bda.retroroms.info:82/downloads/mame/update-packs/mame-0226/
mirror: https://mega.nz/folder/GYkkQIqR#luQ8COcpms7uNxrgVC7t0A
Don't search/post here stuff that is already added to 0.225 or earlier!

Would be possible to upload photopsxsp chd in parts? It's too big for free download. |
|
@haynor666 Hi, - downloaded the single big file manually in the Browser (I used chrome). Start the download, Pause the download before the limit is reached (4G), get new IP/reconnect...resume the download...did this 2 or 3 times, worked for me;) |
|
MucciAdministrator1155 posts Im uploading those two CHDs as rar-parts |
|
Thanks Mucci, this helps a lot :)
damonxxx, I have single IP adress which is not dynamic.
|
|
I downloaded the original CHD without changing IP address; I only had to wait 6 hours to resume the download. |

The official Mame 0.226 release isn't out yet.
Use a fixdat instead of a screenshot.

Do you really think that it is a pleasure to search for a rom with the crc/Sha1 from a pic? ......for me it is the same as for noone : no go and don't waste time for it ......sorry |

missing set: Ray Crisis (V2.03J 1998/11/15 15:43)
missing chd: raycrisj.chd [chd-sha1: 015cb0e6c4421cc38809de28c4793b4491386aee]
is it still missing?
Thanks!

I would need the roms pacman club lambada and pacman club please Argentina version
NAME : clubpacma , clubpacm

Those pacman roms are more than 4 years in Mame; they're not new in Mame 0.226.
There's a DOWNLOADS link at the top of the page.

Hoping someone could please help me here.
For the past few days I have been trying to download the file "sprite.zip" located in the "bbc_rom" folder of the SL's. Since nobody else was having issues that they questioned here, I am assuming this problem pertains to myself alone. I can't for the life of me get this file to download, I've tried multiple browsers on multiple days and I keep getting a decryption error for the file listed as the reason for the download failure.
Can someone please upload this file for me?
Thanks,
Mordor

@Mucci the software list sets in the Mega link SL directory are incorrect for the 0.225-0.226 hash update. For example the following software lists are missing sets:
bbc_rom fmtowns_cd gameboy gbcolor vgmplay
Could you please fix? Thanks.
|
|
@Mordor
The error is with Mega; I can't download it now, either.
Attached is the sprite.zip that I was able to download a few weeks ago.

Because my SL romset is complete after using the files from the Mega-link.

@Mordor: Thanks for reporting it, I have replaced it. Sometimes the sync-engine does do this "upload error", I have no clue why.
@chukapi: Keep in mind with statements like "missing" I can nothing do .......keep also in mind that those links only contains "updated" files, for example if something is only renamed it is not a new file ....
Note: Im doing the scan with DFC (Data File creator) created "diff-files" and compares it with newuzer file-folder. He uses SabreTools for creating the diff-dats. The folder should be complete, but you never knows ;-)

Those missing roms have the same CRC but a different SHA-1. The BDA has the 3 correct romsets, I checked it against my complete set.
In RomVault under Settings/Romvault settings you should set the scanning level to Level 2.
Level 1 checks the CRC but not the SHA-1. http://wiki.romvault.com/doku.php?id=scanning_fixing_levels
BTW, attach a fixdat to your post as a file, don't copy/paste the text in your message.
|
|
mameulatorzx2Member32 posts Oh man, if i enable that setting, ill be here until next year waiting for it to scan!! Help! :) I will check, thnks noone |
|
Level 2 takes long the first time but it'll be fast afterwards when you update your set.
Delete/move chdman.exe from the RomVault folder if you don't want RomVault to extract each CHD to check it because that will take very long (a day or more).

@chukapi: https://mega.nz/folder/HZFlQALQ#7_j-rcBnkwRSgFsEEEjjLw rebuilded from a complete MAME 0.225 SL-Set
I have the best experience with:
- load the new dat
- do a scanning on your existing folder -> do renaming,deleting,moving,... -> be sure that you have enabled "backup"
- do a rebuild from the new "update" folder in your existing folder
- Do a scan and check if something is missing
- if needed do a rebuild from your "backup" -folder
|
|
Thanks @Mucci. Makes sense. |
|
Sets in the following fixdats should fix the gap in the 0.226 SL directory above, thanks.
There isn't a gap. I rebuilt a complete 0.226 set using the full 0.225 set and the 0.226 SL update directory above, like said before.
Your missing roms were probably renamed or in a different set/folder in 0.225.

Solved.. Noone was 100% Correct...I rescanned using level 2 new scan and Bingo, roms were found correctly and fixed. Also resolved some other annoying issues i was having too, however i did a new scan the other day, but had a crash during the scan and dont think i resumed the new scan and assumed the new scan was complete and the cache was up to date. Noone how you knew to check that is beyond me.. well done buddy.
May i ask you another question regarding the dats.. im using progetto dat pack, and im using the Mame 0.226 (Arcade).dat (Not the dat intended for Mame Arcade!!!) in split mode, assuming this dat is for strictly Arcade roms, (NO BIOS or Device Roms mixed in?) but i find bios roms in the set lists? For example neogeo.zip, 3Dobios. I use seperate Bios And Devices Dats, so how granular is the mame 0.226 (Arcade).dat it doesnt appear to be filtering out the bioses? Meaning each set has two sets of bios in each set? I hope ive made sense. N.B I dont set any split or merge options with the bios and device sets, i only set Merge for Software list CHD.. Is that correct?
|
|
I think the MAME 0.226 (Arcade).dat just excludes the non-arcade roms (PC, console, etc); it does include the BIOS roms for the arcade systems. |

Hi fellas,
Full time Mame beginner here.
I have a problem, I want to play Dungeons and Dragons Shadows over Mystra or ddsom filename, and I downloaded a lot of different versions of ROM, even the ones from the newest torrent 226, but I always get the same error and cannot run the game.
It says: The selected machine is missing one or more required ROM or CHD images. Please select a different machine. dl-1425.bin (24576 bytes) - NOT FOUND (qsound_hle )
Attached is Screenshot.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks! |
|
As it says, you need to download qsound_hle.zip and put it into your roms folder. |

Hello everyone, I am new, inexperienced premium user. Retrogaming enthusiast like everyone here. Forgive me, I don't know if I'm in the right place, but I have to ask you: I'm downloading "currentsrom" "chd" "chd_temp" "bios" "rollback". Do I have the complete romset at mame 0.226? Is it a "split" or "non-merged" romset? Possibly what am I missing in order to complete the romset to version 0.226? I apologize again, but I'm at the first experiences. |
