Missing tokyocopi - tokyocopi.pcbios MAME 0.185

Hi,

since MAME 0.185 I miss the following:

MAME.exe -verifyroms tokyocopi reports: romset "tokyocopi" not found!

Maybe I miss tokyocopi.zip with the ROM tokyocopi.pcbios ?

CHD must be under: MAME\roms\tokyocopi\tokyocopi.chd ?!

Regards,

Luzie67

yes you need the chd in that place, the rom has the Status "nodump" so it doesn't exists

Does the CHD exist?

seems that I must "update" all CHDs Folder at BDA (not-up-to-date, but no worry all CHDs are there)
It has been renamed in 0.185, found this information in AntoPISA rename info file :
http://www.progettosnaps.net/renameset/

And checked with SHA1, your CHD is in that folder. Download it and renames it and you are fine.
http://bda.retroroms.info/downloads/mame/CHDs/tokyocop/

Thanks for the info.

But  one question: Why does MAME.exe -verifyroms tokyocopi

report: romset "tokyocopi" not found! ?

There is no TOKYOCOPI ROM as the ROM tokyocopi.pcbios has Status "NO_DUMP" so MAME don´t have to look for it?!

Well, you´re right:

My CHD: MAME\roms\tokyocopi\tokyocopi.chd
has a wrong/false SHA-1-Checksum of: f3b60046da7094743822191473e05ee9cbc1af86

The CHD-file you linked is the right one with Checksum: a3cf011c8ef8ec80724c28e1534191b40ae8515d
(as described in: http://bda.retroroms.info/downloads/mame/CHDs/tokyocop/tokyocop.txt )

I now today found the false Checksum with the help of QMC2 Frontends ROM-Auditing-Function.

Luzie

Was this ever resolved? I'm facing the same issue.

You can check it yourself -> mame64.exe -listxml > mame-0221.xml :

<machine name="tokyocopi" sourcefile="gaelcopc.cpp" cloneof="tokyocop" romof="tokyocop">

<description>Tokyo Cop (Italy)</description>

<year>2003</year>

<manufacturer>Gaelco</manufacturer>

<rom name="tokyocopi.pcbios" size="524288" status="nodump" region="maincpu" offset="0"/>

<disk name="tokyocopi" sha1="a3cf011c8ef8ec80724c28e1534191b40ae8515d" region="disks" index="0" writable="yes"/>

<device_ref name="pentium"/>

<device_ref name="screen"/>

<device_ref name="palette"/>

<chip type="cpu" tag="maincpu" name="Intel Pentium" clock="2000000000"/>

<display tag="screen" type="raster" rotate="0" width="512" height="256" refresh="60.000000" />

Mucci, thanks - I did list the XML. But. the two tokyocop-related CHDs that I found on this site are:

tokyocop.chd - f3b60046da7094743822191473e05ee9cbc1af86

tokyocopk.chd - 3805e41903719d8ed163f9879db65e71aba2e3e7

I seems tokyocopi.chd was a rename of an old version of tokyocop.chd with hash a3cf011c8ef8ec80724c28e1534191b40ae8515d, but I cannot find it on this site. Let me know if I am missing it.

Thanks!

I have uploaded tokyocopi.chd if this is what you are missing....

YES! Thank you. Looks good!
