MAME 0.194 SL/CHD sooner requests

Oh No! Have I missed it? I stop in 3 or 4 times a year to tidy up my MAME collection. I was current up to 193 and saved some parts of the 194 update that were available at that time. Now, upon return to RR, I find that the 194 update link is no longer available. I had just a small piece of the 194 SL, and now have a dozen or so SL systems that are missing a few files. I am now current up to 197 except for the files I am missing that I presume must be from the 194 update. Is there any chance that the link above could become functional again? Thank You |

no because I have deleted those update (too old). (and creating again is toooooo much work for me ;-)) Post a fix.dat and I will help |
sorry for the late reply i had to finish downloading all the parts i could get hold of ...i have posted the fix files i need for each system so any help to resolve these fixes will be much appreciated,,, i dont hold out much hope completing the psx system due to the size and magnitude but the rest might be possible thanx in advance stewart |

I understand it was a BIG request and i thank you for all your help MUCCI as i am new to SL and am pretty much starting from begining but considering how large the task is i think i am doing pretty well :D i hadnt realised how big this task would be until i got this far............. |

its been a long time since i have been there...id say over a year or so.... i didnt understand something to do with portals and they removed me which i didnt feel it was fair ... some people have no patience...i am still determined even without their help to forfill this mission :) afterall these games no matter what console they are on should be saved without restrictions... with mame now upto date and complete i thought i would start with SL which is even harder to get hold of for some reason or other its like only a few select people are interested in saving these games or something ........... anyway back to my day job like i say any help much appreciated |

Way behind because 194 was expired and the alternative places such as the Internet Archive and Usenet haven't been synced since 2014. I wish that these things were maintained outside of PD due to CREATIVE and conflicting opinions with the staff there.
Another tidbit is that I found two torrents saying Connie was the author that contained a blue box collection yet no one would seed them. |

Thought that place was great when I first found it, but I seeded a Daphne set and something else for around a month and was suddenly banned. Their reason was I was never seeding. Seemed a lot of people experience that over there. I know I seeded that Daphne set alone for around 100gigs when I was banned. Took me forever to get a full set so let it go to help others and get banned. That site is a joke. |
same happened to me i downloaded one set and was sharing constantly in the hope of being able to download the next set then they banned me saying i wasnt sharing which was not true i just couldnt figure out what was port forwarding and i still dont know to this day what or how to do this :/ and why i would have to do it ? but anyways all in the past i have got further without them thanx goes out to Mucci and Archive.org for all their input of SL archiving shame i came in so late would probably have it all by now but still missing 4 big ones and for this wonderfull place which is know as RetroRoms :) |

SL is MESS mess is incomplete as i cant get on pleasure dome to share how is asking for the missing bits being a leech if that is the case we are all leeches cos not many people are sharing ???? pleasure dome themselves found many people creating many accounts to leech which spoilt it for the rest of us who where trying to share !!!! i will ftp for everyone or torrent it to everyone if you like once its done !!!! i say sharing is caring and i will share it.. these things take time and space and a lot of time running through rom vault... its coming together but i am sure your little moment may cause this to seace or postbone what i am trying to do .. its people like you that spoilt it for the rest of us who are trying to save something this is bigger than you or i :P Missing bits? I went there to update my Dreamcast and it was a nightmare which was not anywhere close to be complete.
According to Stewart SL Dreamcast is complete on Archive.org. "all the parts i have are at archive.org already" |

Search the forum and you'll see that I have filled many reasonable requests. Again, where do you get '42' from? There are many more members sharing the sets. |
updating MAME and SL generates a lot of work. You know each month is a new version of MAME out. Im doing this only for roms here and believe me I know what it takes to generate torrents for each release (@pleasuredome) -> roms and SL. MAME torrents are [free] at PD, means it charge nothing for downloading (ratio). Create a new account and get the SL stuff there ..... |

You simply don't want to understand it because it's easier for you when someone does all the work for you. Your initial request were 29 fixdats or did you already forget that? Like I said, I help people who make reasonable requests. 29 fixdats and over 1TB is far from reasonable.
