I will update the following folder for the updates: http://bda.retroroms.net/downloads/mame/update/
mirror: https://mega.nz/#F!GdExGRKB!fyjcGIDC6iMK11bGRetjyw
Use his thread for added roms (from 0.189 official build to the next official release 0.190)
Don't search/post here for stuff that is already added to 0.189 official build or earlier!

Anyone got the new samples for 0.190 yet?
Borderline [folder: brdrline - size: 18kb] missing sample: boot_and_start missing sample: coin missing sample: crashes missing sample: end_level missing sample: engine_noise missing sample: field missing sample: fire

If you have a current set to 0.188 or so, the TWCUP files are already there, just need renaming from their old names (from MASH's MAMEINFO page):
Renamed (aligator) to (aligators), (bbhsc) to (bbhsca), (ironhors) to (ironhorsh), (maniacsq) to (maniacsqu), (mp_twc) to (mp_twcup), (tecmowcm) to (twcupmil),
(twrldc94) to (twcup94), (twrldc94a) to (twcup94a), (tws96) to (twsoc96), (wc90) to (twcup90), (wc90a) to (twcup90a), (wc90b) to (twcup90b), (wc90b1) to (twcup90b1),
(wc90b2) to (twcup90b2), (wc90ba) to (twcup90ba) and (wc90t) to (twcup90t)
This will save you from having to re-download those files :)

or using a Rommanager like CLRMAMEPro ;-)
How to scan/updating sets with CLRMAME -> check my guide at mameguide.info

ordyne
thoop2

The file sets are incomplete.Romcenter says so. |
|
MucciAdministrator1143 posts
keep in mind that we have "split" sets at Retroroms -> those are correct.
Maybe you are collecting your sets as "merged" or "non-merged". In that case you need also the parent sets.
<machine name="1943ja" sourcefile="1943.cpp" cloneof="1943" romof="1943">
<machine name="kuniokun" sourcefile="renegade.cpp" cloneof="renegade" romof="renegade">
<machine name="ordyne" sourcefile="namcos2.cpp"> -> that is complete
<machine name="thoop2" sourcefile="thoop2.cpp"> -> that is complete
-> attach/post the logfile from Romcenter
|
|
Have the 1943 and Renegade romsets.
How can I make a log file in Romcenter?
|
|
MucciAdministrator1143 posts
Im not using Romcenter, but it does reports incomplete sets. There should be an option to displays it or to safe those information .....
Sorry I can not help with "it's uncomplete", those roms here are correct for "split sets". You have not answer that question too (non-merged/split/merged) ;-)
|
|
The ROM merge mode selected in Romcenter is split sets.

What version of romcenter are you using? Last versions are showing some problems, I'm pretty sure you are missing something... Retro Danuart Youtube |

Romcenter sometimes gets wrong with roms. I suggest you to use the old version 3.71, but there is a quicker way, just use MameUI and audit those roms, surely it will say they are good. Retro Danuart Youtube |
|
Yes it's a Romcenter issue as 1943,kuniokun and thoop2 are listed on MameUI64 as working and it's romsets are good.However ordyne fails to audit with the romsets from here where Romcenter corrects all the ordyne related and parental romsets. |
|
If you'r using Mameui, instead of audit that rom, just launch it. A message will appear with the roms that are incorrect or missing...
Try that and post the message here, maybe you need to add some bios or device which is not included in the rom (for example neogeo bios, megaplay bios or the votrax device...).

seems that you have not downloaded this file -> I have not corrected it, it is still the same. It has all your missing parts inside......

Yes,it seems that Romcenter corrupted the romset when I used it.Now without it seems to be fine. |

Fine you found the solution. To tell the truth, since some mame versions I dont need to use romcenter anymore. Retro Danuart Youtube |

How to download only the chds? |
|
MucciAdministrator1143 posts
heh? CHDs are the same as other files -> download them
CHDs are sometimes big so we stored them on RR in a "sliced format":
- download all rar-files
- extract the rar file (first file)
- now you have the chd file
- delete the rar-files
we have also stored a txt-file inside a Folder, that is only as Information. With the md5 file you can verify all downloaded parts with an external program (example https://www.multipar.eu/) that they are complete.
at the end you can also verify the chd file with the chman.exe from the MAME Tools :-)

aligator hunt protected rom are worng say co processor is bad and now is working |
|
MucciAdministrator1143 posts
no clue what you want to say here. We only store roms here we are not responsible for the emulator itself .......
Keep in mind that our "update" folder does NOT contains complete sets -> you must rebuild it yourself
